Feeding Directions
Feed free choice as the primary diet for amphibians and carnivorous reptiles or as a component of a diet in addition to insects or other prey items. Remove uneaten feed daily. Consumption will vary between species, life stage and temperature and may range from 0.5% to 4.0% per day. In general, young rapidly growing animals will consume more than older animals and warmer animals will consume more than cooler animals. Always keep water clean. Never feed moldy or insect-infested product.

Mixing Directions
Mix with an appropriate amount of hot water (over 200°F).  Blend with a spoon for one minute and pour into a flat pan to cool.  Chill overnight in a refrigerator.  Cut the gel by hand or with a food processor to obtain an appropriate size.  The firmness of the gel is affected by the amount of water used.  A good starting point is to use a ratio of 50:50 by weight of dry diet and water.

Storage Directions
The dry powder is shelf-stable for at least six months.  Once this product is mixed with water to form a gel, it should be handled like raw fish.  It can be kept in the refrigerator for up to three days, if kept clean and sealed (wrapped) as well as possible.  Similarly, it may be frozen like raw fish, for up to six months in the freezer.  We recommend making batches that will last about a month, due to repeated entry into the container allowing the frozen gel to be exposed to oxygen.
